Prologue:

For over a year, things have been unusually quiet in the small settlement of Evermire. The woods have not been full of zombies, monsters, or even many bandits. No strange artifacts or supernatural happenings have been uncovered lately, and even the tending of the curious “Death Shrine” has become quite mundane. Yes, things have been still and calm for a surprisingly long while. When the change comes, it is as if it happens both gradually and quite suddenly: the people of Evermire, regardless of how far away from the town they are, or what they are doing, become acutely aware that the quiet can last no longer. It is as if the town itself is holding its breath. Something is coming. It is time to return.

This game will be free for all players. We know the pandemic has impacted everyone in different ways, including financially. We want to host an event that may act as a temporary escape. That being said, we will accept donations if you would like to donate to the game. Through the generosity of our players we have been able to continue paying our GMs throughout the pandemic and plan to keep doing so going forward.

Whether or not camping will be allowed is still up in the air. We will make a decision when we get closer to the date of the event as we continue to monitor the areas where players live and work. If camping is allowed, we will still have our usual $5 camping fee for using the site. This money will go directly to the fort as usual.

Our event will take place on Saturday Aug. 21st from 10:00AM until 6:00PM at Fort Eversgerd in Germantown, IL. Parking is limited, so *carpooling is highly encouraged*. Bathroom available on site.

When you arrive, please check-in with one of the GMs. Saturday morning check-in for the game will begin at 9AM. If you haven't already, please turn in a signed waiver. ALL weapons and shields will need to pass a safety-check prior to the beginning of the event. If you don't have your own weapon, there will be some available for rent. Pre-game announcements will begin around 10AM with “Game-On” being called immediately following, so make sure you are checked in before then. All players must attend pre-game announcements.

If this is your first game, you will be required to go on a brief "tutorial quest" during which general rules will be reviewed and you will be walked through a combat scenario. You MUST complete this quest before you will be allowed to engage in game-play and combat. This will begin after general announcements have been made and "Game-On" is called.

Please bring anything you might need to make this event safe and fun, such as sunscreen, bug repellant, mask, food, and water!
